Indian Armed forces on a Killing Spree in Kashmir----Bloodbath in Kashmir

Over past six months more then 15 teenagers fell pray to the brutality of Indian armed forces but from the last few weeks, it has been a bloodbath in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
From 12 June 2010 till now almost 11 people lost there lives most of them young teenagers.
It all started with the killing of an innocent boy Tuffail Ahmad Matoo a student of 11th std. by the brutal forces on the fateful day of June 12.Protests erupted all over the valley against the killing and during the protests another 21yr old youth Rafiq Ahmad Bangroo was brutally beaten who succumbed to his injuries on June 19th at SKIMS. Thousands of people thronged to attend the funeral prayers of Rafiq next day and that is when the so called Security agencies once again shot at the protester's killing another youth Javed Ahmad Malla on spot and injuring many more. The separatist called for protest against the killing of innocent civilians across the beautiful vale which was once known to be the "Paradise on earth."

Unfortunately this was not the end of shock and miseries for the people of Kashmir, for them it had just begun. In the Apple Town Sopore an encounter had started between militants and the so called security forces, two militants were martyred in the encounter. It was June 24 the encounter ended and people were demanding the bodies of the two slained militant's to be handed over, when the so called security forces once again shot at the protesting civilians killing two youth Shakeel Ahmad Ganai (24) and Firdous Ahmad Kakroo a class 12th student on spot. In the following days the situation remained tense as people all over the valley were mourning the deaths. On June 27 Sunday, day long protest were held all over the valley and another youth Bilal Ahmad Wani, who was not the part of procession according to the eyewitnesses was shot dead while on his way to Masjid to offer prayers. Govt. failed to handle the situation and in the wake of call given by separatist for students to protest, ordered to shut the educational instt. for two days.

28 June was another day of continued bloodbath as the people marched from the different parts of the valley towards the Apple Town Sopore but were stopped by the Indian forces at different places and yet again outside the Kapra cinema near the headquarters of the 92 battalion CRPF near Sopore, the brute forces fired indiscriminately at protester's killing Tajamul Bashir Bhat a student of degree college sopore. This was not all, in the hamlet village of Delina a 9yr old boy Touqeer Ahmad Rather was shot dead by the CRPF.

Chaos had hit the whole valley, everyone was angry over the killings and in the meantime separatist leaders called for civil disobedience and protests, people came out on roads in Summer Capital Srinagars downtown area. Govt. felt helpless before the armed forces and gave them a clean chit and that acted as a fuel for the already started fire.

On June 29 an undeclared curfew was imposed in the summer capital Srinagar and people were not allowed to come out of there homes. While Srinagar was under siege South Kashmir was on boil, as the protests started early in the morning in Anantnag, eyewitnesses revealed that a 13yr old boy Arshid, who works at a tea shop was sitting near his shop when the large contingent of CRPF reached the place and fired three bullets upon him without any provocation. The news spread like fire and soon the whole district was on boil protesting against the barbarism of the brute occupying forces. The situation turned from bad to worst when the brute forces barged into the SK colony on Khannabal-Pahalgam road and resorted to indiscriminate firing killing two youth Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khanday (15) and Imtiyaz Ahmad on spot and injuring many others critically. Among the critically injured youth was Shujat ul Islam who succumbed to his injuries at SMHS hospital, taking the toll for the day to 3.

MAY ALLAH GRANT PARADISE TO ALL THE MARTYR'S OF KASHMIR,PALESTINE,CHECHNIA,AFGHANISTAN,IRAQ ..etc

After few days of continuous curfew, Srinagar was on boil yet again today on 6th July when two more civilians were murdered in cold blood by the indian armed forces. In the Tengpora area of Srinagar CRPF chased a 11th Class student Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat to death, who drowned in the stream while trying to run away from the brute forces. Today another youth Fayaz Ahmad fell prey to the bullets of the brute forces when they fired indiscriminately on the protester's who were demanding punishment to the killers of Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat. As soon as the news about the fresh killings spread protests erupted across the city. In the meantime Mirwaiz Umar Farooq staged a sit in the Rajouri Kadal area of the downtown. Thousands of people joined Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and staged a sit in. When the reports last came in Mirwaiz Umar Farooq lead procession was marching towards LAL CHOWK passing through different areas of Downtown were more people joined the procession. According to the eyewitnesses pro-freedom and anti-india, anti-armed forces slogans were reverberating in the old city.

Death toll increased to three in the Batmaloo area of Srinagar since morning when a girl named Fancy(24) was killed by the CRPF troopers who resorted to indiscriminate firing at Danderkhah area in batmaloo killing Fancy on spot. Eyewitnesses say the CRPF troopers started indiscriminate firing, "without any provocation."

Meanwhile Mirwaiz Umar Farooq's procession which was on its way to Lal Chowk was dispersed near Mamta Hotel at Khayam. A huge contingent of CRPF was already deployed who resorted to tear gas shelling and aerial firing and dispersed the procession which started from Rajouri Kadal.

Another youth Abrar Ahmad was killed at Maisuma when the CRPF troopers opened fire at the protesting youth. With killing of Abrar the death toll since morning has reached 4

Curfew has been imposed in the Summer Capital Srinagar, putting people once again under siege..

So far the Govt. has been unable to stop the civilian killings in Kashmir Valley by the CRPF troopers. The NC lead Govt. seems helpless against the Central Govt. who have given clean chit to the CRPF and in the meeting between DG CRPF and puppet Chief Minister Umar Abdullah, seems that DG has ordered the so called CM not to interfere in working of its troops which compelled the CM to give them a clean chit...

After the latest massacre by the indian armed forces on wednesday the Summer capital Srinagar was put under siege as all the entry and exit points were sealed. Govt. today handed over the capital to the Army who are well known for their brutality. Today regular army was deployed in Srinagar to suppress the uprising against the civilian killing and gross human rights violations by the brute indian forces. Army flag marched in the city center LAL CHOWK in morning. Situation still remains tense across the Kashmir Valley as reports came in about people protesting in large numbers in many districts of the Vale.

A truth about indian occupation of kashmir, human rights violation, justice and so called democracy

Kunan Poshpora: Residents of this small hamlet in north Kashmir, which witnessed, one the worst incidents in the history of Kashmir, mass rape during the intervening night of February 23 and 24 in 1991 by the troopers of 4 Raj Rifles of 68 Brigade, on Sunday accused authorities of hushing up the case. They demanded case be reopened and justice be done. Locals said that after the incident many civil and police officials turned up and promised that erring troopers would be punished. Even police lodged an FIR under section 376, 452 and 342 at Thregam police station against them. “Eighteen years have since the FIR was registered but neither have been the accused booked nor charge sheeted,” locals said, adding, “Case has been closed and hushed up. It should be reopened and culprits should be punished.” Sadness in the eyes of women in this small hamlet in north Kashmir is a grim reminder of what happened on that night, as the memories of the mass rape are still fresh in their minds. Recalling that night, villagers said the troopers in inebriated state cordoned off the village and asked men to assemble in an open ground. “We were paraded and tortured throughout the night under open sky,” they said, adding, “ Troopers barged into our houses and outraged the chastity of our women irrespective of age. They didn’t even spare a 5-year-old child and 95-year-old lady. It seemed that they were drugged. Those who tried to save the dignity and honour of their sisters, mothers and wives were beaten mercilessly by the troopers.” A victim Saja Begum (name changed) said, “A group of eight to 10 troopers barged into our house and attacked me. I pleaded before them that I was pregnant but they showed no mercy. After few days I gave birth to a baby with a fractured arm.”

Handwara, Nov 7: The alleged gang rape of a 10-year-old girl and her mother by Rashtriya Rifles troops sparked off massive protest demonstrations in this border town of Kupwara district on Sunday. Though State Government has ordered a magisterial probe, the Army denies the charges. Over six thousand people held strong protests at Kralgund and blocked Varmul-Handwara highway for over five hours. They raised slogans against the troops of 31 RR who, they alleged, raped 10-year-old Shabnam Rashid and her mother Aashia Begum, 29, wife of Abdur Rashid Dar, at Bader Payeen village of Handwara on Saturday night. The troopers, the protesters said, led by a Major barged into the house of Abdul Rashid Dar at Bader Payen and separated male and female members of the family. "The troopers then pounced on Aashia Begum, a mother of six children and repeatedly raped her. They later took her daughter Shabnam in other room and gang raped her too," the protesters said.

This is the reality about indian occupation of kashmir, the human rights violation and this is what they call democracy. The plight and agony of the people of kashmir is very much true. Every one has a right to live with respect, dignity and without any fear but in kashmir its not possible, even the chastity of our sisters and mothers is never safe. The people of Kashmir are living in a "Paradise made hell" and the responsible party for making the once paradise into a living hell is India.. The people of Kashmir deserve to Live free, they deserve to live a peaceful and prosperous life.. FREE KASHMIR

What went wrong in the last years mass uprising?

What went wrong in the last years uprising? is the question that strikes my mind every time..The movement that ended with nothing much for Kashmir except the rise in killing of innocent civilians has left a big question mark on the creditability of Kashmiri people. Who is to be held responsible for the death of the movement? Is our separatist leadership alone responsible for it or the common people are equally responsible for it...Has whole of the Kashmir collectively betrayed the Sons Of The Soil who had laid ther lives for the noble cause...This is the question that every Kashmiri shud ponder at and in the light of this sort out what he had done for the cause, for the Nation, for the dead, for the matyr's, for the future generations?Who is to blamed for the death of the movment?

The Second Chance

The second Chance
The recent turn of events had created a ray of hope that the Indian government might allow the people of Kashmir to march towards the symbolic lal chowk , a measure that could have echoed as a positive step towards the so called peace process but the nefarious designs time and again to oppress the voice of Kashmir’s were again visible with the restrictions imposed in all ten districts of Kashmir..
The so called largest democracy was shaken to the core by the Id gah chaloo and UN chaloo marches and to avoid further embarrassment the curfew imposed was disguised as a safety measure .The sentiments of the Kashmir’s cannot be restricted or oppressed with curfews or baton charges . The dream of Azadi has long been dreamt by almost every pair of eyes in the valley and countless number of them have gone to the grave with it while as rest of them still hold it closer to their hearts. The sentiments of freedom have always echoed in the form of protests, demonstrations etc and will continue to be so until a finite resolution is not achieved. The problem is not that easy but it is not impossible to achieve as well. The Hurriyat Conference has once again gained a new life thanks to the unification efforts and let’s hope that it remains the same. Our leaders have lacked the vision, the farsightedness to ascertain the patience and sacrifice it takes to attain freedom. The recent uprising has given the second life for the freedom struggle and this is the time when our leaders should capitalise on the sentiments and lead from the front. I remember the turbulent nineties when every colony, mohalla had its own share of martyrs, freedom fighters, widows and orphans of what they were proud, which over a period of time had gradually decreased and the emotion for azadi had dried to certain extent if not died at all..The leadership needs to take this opportunity in a stride and make sure that the sentiments do not die within a span of time and the best way would be awareness among the youth.
As a Kashmiri I often come across questions as why do we need azadi ? Are we not better off with India? Has anybody stopped you from praying, fasting etc?.The irony is that these questions are raised by none others than my own brethren , my generation , my friends who have only seen the turbulent times of the nineties and had perceived freedom as something achievable with little sacrifice ..The explanation of the these questions can only be sought by turning the pages of history and realising that the struggle for freedom has been echoing in Kashmir since the age of Maharaja.. The martyrs of 1931 are our first heroes among a line of thousand that have been buried in graveyards spanning over large areas and not to forget those martyrs who did not even get a burial. The ignorance about these facts is something that has played a pivotal role in giving rise to such stereotypes in our society. The land row has ignited the spark and this time it cannot be neglected. Our media also has to play a role alongside the Hurriyats and other separatist organisation to educate and bring awareness among the youth about the struggle, the causes and the basic identity of being a Kashmiri.

India has implemented
AFSPA(Armed forces special powers act) in kashmir which has given a free hand to its men in uniform to spill the blood of innocent n unarmed ppl of kashmir who r fighting for thr basic right of independence....................
